Mortgage Loan Officer (Commercial) Branch Manager |
JOB SUMMARY: To prospect for potential mortgage business then prepare, analyze, price, structure and verify mortgage loan applications for commercial purchases, refinances and hard money loans. This position is commission based.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
●Generates
mortgage leads through networking and building relationships with
real estate brokers, salespersons, accountants, attorneys, etc.; attends
trade shows and business events, and other company-approved functions to
meet prospects and lead sources.
●
Follows up on all leads in a timely manner.
●
Meets with prospects to explain mortgage lending
and pricing and to answer questions.
●
Follows up with prospects regularly to close sale in a timely manner.
●Works closely
with clients and mortgage processor through application, processing and
underwriting processes to
ensure that our business continues to grow based on referrals and reputation.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB:
●
Excellent analytical and math skills
● Is at ease interacting with different
types of prospects, referral sources, and clients
● Comfortable working independently; self
motivated
● Maintains professional
standards at all times
●
High energy
● Ability to take a mortgage loan from application to closing with minimal assistance
● Know the definitions of DSCR, NOI, DTI ,LTV, CLTV, PITI, ARM, and APR
● Know
how to write an operating statement and structure a package
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
●
College education
helpful
● Previous
commercial mortgage or real estate experience required
● Use of Calyx Point (or similar), Word & Excel
